*In order to receive a Friendship Christian School diploma, students are expected to be enrolled at FCS a minimum of five semesters of their high school career. The primary exception to this would be a student who is moving into the local area from out of state or a distant region of Tennessee. Students from local high schools will not be considered for transfer if they will not meet this requirement.

 

Step 2:  Complete entrance testing

 

The Otis-Lennon School Ability Test (4th-12 grade), grade level testing by FCS teacher for K-3rd grade is a requirement for admission.  After you have completed the online application then it is time to set up testing.  Applicants are required to provide the following:

 

Current report card/or official high school transcript (if applicable)

Most recent achievement test scores (if applicable)

One teacher recommendation for Preschool through 6th grade

Two teacher recommendations (Math and English) 7th through 12th grade

Copy of social security card

Copy of birth certificate

Official Tennessee Immunization Record

Legal custodial documentation (if applicable)

 

Step 3:  Student Interview

 

A personal interview is required of all middle school and high school applicants.

 

When all the requirements listed above are fulfilled, the applicant’s application for admission goes before the school’s admission committee for review.

 

ACCEPTANCE PRIORITY POLICY:

 

1st Priority:  Returning students whose re-enrollment forms have been received by the re-enrollment deadline have first priority in the succeeding grade level.

 

2nd Priority:  New student applicants who apply by the re-enrollment deadline and have siblings living in the same household who are currently enrolled and have re-enrolled for the next school year.

 

3rd Priority:  New student applications are considered after the re-enrollment deadline for currently enrolled FCS students.  All required admissions documents and fees must be received before the application will be considered by the Admissions Committee.

 

 

TUITION & FEES

 

Tuition for 2017-2018

 

PreK-2 day       $4,350

PreK-3 day       $6,035

PreK-5 day       $7,680

Kindergarten   $9,330

1-5 grade          $10,070

6-12 grade        $10,365

 

 

FEES AND CONTRACT:

 

A non-refundable application fee of $75 is due with the initial application for admission form.

A non-refundable tuition deposit of $900 is due with the completed application for admission packet.  This fee is applied to tuition upon acceptance.

The enrollment contract and tuition become binding June 1st.  After June 1st, parents are obligated to pay tuition according to the school withdrawal policy, whether or not their child completes the school year.

 

TUITION PAYMENT OPTIONS:

 

Annual (Single Payment) Payment Plan

Semester Payment Plan (additional $100 fee)

Ten-Month Plan (additional $100 fee)

Twelve-Month Plan (additional $100 fee)

 

The fact that tuition can be paid in installments does not constitute a fractional contract. After June 1st, in the event of absence, withdrawal, or dismissal from FCS, no portion of the tuition, paid or outstanding, will be refunded or canceled by the school outside of the school’s withdrawal policy.

 

All tuition payments made in installments are collected via bank draft by FACTS Tuition Management, Inc. (FACTS). All families are required to create an account with FACTS after completing the Enrollment Contract. Multiple Child Discount: For families with more than one child in the same household, the second child’s discount will be $300, the third child’s discount will be $600, and the fourth and any subsequent children’s discount will be $900.

 

Other estimated fees include but not limited to:

 

Resource fee  K-6:  $375

Resource fee 7-12:  $575

ACT Test Preparation Course Fee (high school juniors) $100

Dual Enrollment Fee (qualified high school juniors and seniors) $90/per 3 hour course

5th Grade Jr. Achievement BizTown: $50

6th Grade Land Between the Lakes retreat : Approx $230

8th Grade Washington, D.C. trip: Approx $800

 

 

FINANCIAL AID

 

A limited amount of need-based Financial Aid is available for families after they have considered their own resources. Financial need is determined by FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment.

Grants are for one year and are awarded by the Financial Aid Committee.

 

Financial Aid applications must be filed each year. The Financial Aid Committee will meet and review all applications. You will be notified in writing of your financial aid award decision.
